1. Atwood's machine : A system of objects connected by a string

2. Connected bodies ( smooth table ) : One body is placed on a smooth table and another body is connected to it by a string passing over a pulley

3. Inclined smooth plane : Two bodies are connected by a string. One is on a smooth inclined plane and the other is suspended

4. Moving pulley system : Two bodies are connected by a string passing over two pullies. One is fixed and the other is free to move.

5. Wedge-mass system : A body is placed on a triangular wedge placed on a horizontal surface. All surfaces are frictionless. Both the body and wedge are free to move.
